This is my third GPS from Tiger GPS. I have two of the 700 Roadmates. I don\’t know how I ever worked without one in the car. My second was for my wife and she enjoys hers also. Everything was rec\’d as promised and on time. I have recommended Tiger to others that have bought there also with the same level of satisfaction. Keep up the good work

I purchased and used the RoadMate 800 on a 6100 mile round trip across the U.S. As a comparison, I used a PDA based GPS with a competitors software. the 800 seems to be the best for the money. what I did was to input all of the hotels that I was staying at, and then every morning, select the next one. While driving, I found it best to leave the screen on the 1/2 mile to one mile rage in 3d mode. that way, you can seen the turns and the general road curves and not be surpised. when going through major cities or areas where I would be changing routes, I set the magellan to 1/4 mile in 3d mode. that way I could see all of the approaching roads(and not be confused by several merging and branching routes) the untiamte test, going through St. Louis, Mo and getting to the right freeway through the "maze" of connecting highways. the city driving is excellant and got me to the places I needed in Boston without a wrong turn, despite all of the one-way and alley like streets it routed me through. At one point in Oklahoma, I was driving on "new" sections of freeway that had obviously not been incorporated into the map software and deviated from the old route. The 800 simply kept stated "proceed to the route indicated, and showed the merge with the "old" portion of freeway to the new one that I was driving on.
I was very impressed with the performance. the only "down" side is that the unit ships with a window mount, which I can’t use in California, and had to spend almost $60.00 to get a RAM mount that fit into the cup holder. Possibly TIGER GPS should consider some sort of trade-in for credit on the mounts. I have since found that several other states besides california do not allow window mounts of devices (GPS, sat radios, etc)
overall it is an excellant value for the cost.

Was really pleased to get the magellan 800, Had used one the first time in a Hertz rental vehicle. Have been lead to the wrong location at least three times including my office address which I tried when I first got the gps. The points of interest directions have been particularly disappointing. I purchased the magellan after I had received a garmin as a gift because I wanted the multiple routing opportunity offered by the magellan. I prefer the garmin.
